Esta es la historia mas triste y dramatica que alguna vez compusiera Giacomo Puccini, es la historia de una joven japonesa que es enamorada por un oficial de la marina estadounidense quien luego d ecitarla cada dia a la sombra de un cerezo, la llama "madame butterfly" por su atuendo tan colorido (kimono y toda la indumentaria del japon tradicional) que le hacia pensar en una mariposa, este pendejo luego de convencerla de amar a la americana (o sea ir a la cama) la embaraza y la abandona, ella ignorando estar abandonada, piensa que su amante se ha ido de servicio, asi que espera cada dia debajo del arbol de cerezo donde cada dia se citaban. asi que con cada dia que pasa ella espera, las horas se convierten en dias, los dias en meses y los meses en años y en un arranque de locura y frustracion por desamor, decide en que en lugar de vivir en tanta tristeza y verguenza, prefiere morir, asi que ahoga a su hijo y hace harakiri.

esta historia la conosco desde muy pequeño gracias a mi papa y esta animacion recuerdo la ví por primera vez en un canal de animacion que ya no existe.
